Human Factors

This course is about humans in complex systems. learning about cognitive work analysis (CWA) and how to make different kind of analyzes with the purpose to reach design solutions that support workers in different contexts. Seeing examples from application domains as nuclear power plants, paper industry, traffic control and train-cabs, high-speed ferries etc. Also learning about the human factor (HF) as a safety component – how to conduct accident analyzes of real accidents and incidents. Last, I learned about human decision making (HDM), which can be considered the basis for a good understanding of why I want to conduct cognitive work analysis .the way you will learn about itis in this course.

I did one experiment and one Accident investigation in this course.

The laboration is basically replication of an experiment by Amos Tversky and Daniel Kahneman. In the original experiment researchers investigate how framing solution for problems effect on people’s selection. In this report we are exploring people’s judgments about the alternative programs for two different problems.
